I was lucky to spend Thanksgiving in Sonoma County, CA this year in a beautiful 100 year old Victorian farmhouse. Surrounded by food, family, and vineyards, it really couldn’t get any better.
Aside from being busy with cooking (my favorite part of Thanksgiving of course), I set out to try to make the day as country-esque and Californian as possible!
I picked lemons, persimmons, and fresh thyme from the garden to create our simple yet beautiful centerpiece. I found some spare fresh rosemary sprigs and crafted country place cards (inspired from Brit+Co‘s post on DIY Thanksgiving), and lastly, of course, we enjoyed wines from local vineyards just down the road. Jordan’s Pinot Noir, from a few miles away in Alexander Valley, was my favorite and definitely a treat!
